- Warming afternoon temperatures through Tuesday.
- High chance for rain Tuesday into Tuesday night.
- Dry weather mid to late week with overnight lows in the 20s.

.SHORT TERM...
(Rest of today through Tuesday)
Issued at 1106 AM CST Mon Feb 2 2026
Short wave ridge is building in this afternoon and that will bring
quiet weather along with clearing skies. Highs will push into the
low to upper 40s. High level clouds start to move in this evening
ahead of our next system.
A short wave trough will dig out of the northern Plains with a
surface low developing over TN tomorrow afternoon. This will bring
our next chance for rain. Showers will start to develop in the
western part of the area during the mid-morning and spread east
into the afternoon. Showers will diminish late afternoon into the
evening as the cold front sweeps through the region. Cold air will
build in with the cold front but will be behind the precip and we
are not expecting any snow. Rain totals will range from around
0.10" in the northwest up to 0.75" in the southeast. Highs Tuesday
will be similar to Monday.
&&
.LONG TERM...
(Tuesday Night through next Monday)
Issued at 1106 AM CST Mon Feb 2 2026
Cold air will be building into Middle TN on Wednesday and that
will push our highs back into the 30s Wednesday and Thursday.
High pressure building in from the west along with clear skies
will bring cold conditions Wednesday night with lows falling into
the teens. Strong upper level ridge built over the West and will
start to push east some late week bringing higher heights to us.
This along with southerly flow will warm highs back into the 50s.
A trough will pass to our northeast as we head into the weekend
and that will cool things back into the 40s but the precip and
cold arctic air associated with this system will remain to our
north and east. High pressure quickly builds over the Great Lakes
behind the low and will give up southerly flow. This will warm
highs back into the 50s Sunday and Monday.
